Hari Kunzru

A project initiated by Hari Kunzru, Anya Serota and Simon Prosser: the 42 Writers for Liberty website, part of Liberty’s Charge or Release campaign opposing the Government’s proposal to extend pre-charge detention in terrorism cases from 28 to 42 days. After an overwhelming defeat in the House of Lords on 12 October 2008, the Government has now abandoned this dangerous and unnecessary measure. It includes work by AL Kennedy, Mohsin Hamid, David Mitchell, Nikita Lalwani and many more.
