Guardian article on profiling

I flew shortly after 9/11. AFter arrving in NY I went to SFO. I came up for a 'random' suitcase search a 'random' extended questioning a 'random' extended hadbag search, a 'random' search on boarding the internal USA flight.

I am a white middle aged woman. I reckoned that since i had a foreign passport tjis was triggering many 'random' searhces...I did not get paranoid. I just got on with it.

Guardian article on flight terror

I just wanted to tell you that my kids, aged 4 and 7, were subjected to sweeping body searches and frisking at heathrow yesterday as we were flying back from Iran, so you got off pretty lightly...
