 Ai Weiwei has not been seen since April 3rd. Here are a few images from today's shambolic but well-attended protest outside the Consulate of the PRC in Manhattan. 

 In 2008, in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics, I participated in a PEN event intended to highlight human rights abuses in China. This is a video of a text I read at that event.
